About Fraser Academy

Fraser Academy is an independent day school, founded in 1982, for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. It is on West 10th Avenue in Kitsilano and plans to move to a new campus at 2665 Renfrew Street in fall 2027. Admission is usually into Grades 2 to 10.

Every student receives individual Orton-Gillingham instruction from certified learning specialists as part of the timetable. Classes have at most 12 students in the Junior and Middle School and an average of 7 in the Senior School. Senior students follow the BC curriculum towards the Dogwood Diploma.

Tuition for 2026-27 depends on the level of learning support: CAD 50,670 for Grades 2 to 6, and CAD 45,750 to CAD 52,250 for Grades 7 to 12. A one-time entrance fee of CAD 1,000 applies, and bursaries of up to 50% are available.
