About American International School Riyadh

American International School Riyadh (AIS-R) is an independent, non-profit, co-educational school founded in 1963. It teaches an American curriculum with an international outlook from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 on a purpose-built campus in Al Aarid, north Riyadh, next to the Al Bustan Village compound. The school reports more than 1,550 students of over 65 nationalities.

Students in Grades 11 and 12 can take the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and the school uses NWEA MAP, PSAT and SAT testing. AIS-R is accredited by NEASC and the Council of International Schools. The school does not run a bus service.

For 2026-27 the school publishes annual tuition from SAR 56,299 (Early Years, half day) to SAR 105,006 (Grades 9-12) before VAT; non-Saudi families pay 15% VAT on top. Application, registration and capital fees are charged separately.
