About British International School Riyadh

British International School Riyadh (BISR) opened in September 1979 as the Riyadh Continental School and took its current name in 1981. It teaches the National Curriculum of England from FS1 to Year 13, with GCSE, A Level and BTEC courses. Its Riyadh campuses are Al Hamra and Al Waha, both in Ghirnatah, and the Diplomatic Quarter campus, opened in 2020, where Year 12 and 13 students follow the IB Diploma Programme.

BISR is accredited by CIS, BSO and WASC, is an IB World School and a member of COBIS and BSME. The Al Waha campus has a 750-seat theatre, a 25-metre pool and a full-size artificial pitch. The school is an exam centre for AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge International and the SAT.

For 2026-27 the school publishes annual fees from SAR 50,568 (FS1) to SAR 111,172 (Years 12-13), including 15% VAT; Saudi nationals are exempt from VAT. Application, assessment, registration and capital development fees are charged separately.
