About Heath House Preparatory School

Heath House Preparatory School is a small co-educational prep school in Blackheath Village, south-east London, for children aged 3 to 11. It was founded in 1993 as a family-run school and was acquired by Global Schools Group in 2023. The school runs one class per year group and keeps class sizes small.

Children start in Kindergarten under the Early Years Foundation Stage, move into Reception and the Pre-Prep years (Years 1 and 2), and complete the Prep years from Year 3 to Year 6. The curriculum follows the English National Curriculum, with sport, creative subjects and an extra-curricular programme, and the school prepares pupils for 11+ entry to senior schools. The school is inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), and makes regular use of Blackheath heath and nearby museums.

For the 2026/27 academic year, termly tuition is £5,224 for Kindergarten (after the government-funded 15 hours), £6,737 for Reception, £6,903 for Years 1 and 2 and £7,193 for Years 3 to 6, with lunch charged separately.
