Al Khor is a coastal city situated approximately 60 kilometres north of Doha's downtown, and together with the broader northern corridor it serves as an important residential hub for employees of Qatar's energy sector — particularly those working at Ras Laffan Industrial City, the world's largest complex for the production of LNG and GTL products.
