Französisches Gymnasium Berlin

The Französisches Gymnasium Berlin (FG Berlin) is the oldest gymnasium in Berlin and the world's oldest French gymnasium within the AEFE international network, founded in 1689 by Huguenot refugees under the patronage of the Great Elector of Brandenburg. With over 330 years of history, it remains one of Germany's most intellectually distinguished schools.

FG Berlin serves around 810 students from 50 nationalities and offers a uniquely multilingual education. Students can graduate with up to five different qualifications: the Diplôme National du Brevet, the Mittlerer Schulabschluss (MSA), the French Baccalauréat, the German Abitur, and the prestigious Abibac double diploma simultaneously valid in both France and Germany.

The school's trilingual instruction in German, French, and English, combined with Latin and additional modern languages, produces graduates of exceptional linguistic depth and cultural breadth. Its close ties to both the French educational system and the Berlin state school network make it unique in Germany.
