About Rochambeau, The French International School

Rochambeau, The French International School (formerly Lycée Rochambeau) was founded in 1955 and is the only school in the Washington area accredited by the French Ministry of Education (AEFE). It serves children from age 2 through 12th grade and states that its families represent more than 80 nationalities.

Primary pupils attend the Maplewood campus and secondary students (6th–12th grade) the Forest Road campus in Bethesda, Maryland. Teaching follows the French national curriculum with English language instruction; high school students can prepare for the French Baccalauréat, the French International Baccalaureate option and the International Baccalaureate.
