About KLCC International School
KLCC International School is a city-centre IB World School located in the prestigious KLCC district, just minutes from the Petronas Twin Towers. Established in 2005, the school has grown into one of Kuala Lumpur's most dynamic and academically ambitious institutions, serving over 950 students from more than 55 nationalities in a state-of-the-art vertical campus designed specifically for urban international education.
The school offers the full International Baccalaureate continuum — PYP, MYP, and Diploma Programme — with a strong emphasis on multilingualism, global citizenship, and technology-enhanced learning. The PYP encourages inquiry-based exploration across six transdisciplinary themes, while the MYP develops disciplinary understanding across eight subject groups with a focus on real-world application. The IB Diploma Programme is the school's flagship, with an average point score typically between 34 and 37 points and a pass rate consistently above 95 percent. Extended Essay mentoring and CAS programme coordination are handled by a dedicated team ensuring every student meets the core requirements with depth and authenticity.
The campus occupies a purpose-designed twelve-storey tower with floor-to-ceiling windows, climate-controlled classrooms, and a range of specialist facilities that challenge the assumption that city-centre schools must compromise on resources. Key facilities include four science laboratories, a rooftop multi-sport court, an indoor gymnasium, a black-box theatre, a digital media production suite, two art studios, a dedicated music floor with soundproofed practice rooms, a design technology workshop, and a 15,000-volume library with digital lending capabilities. A 20-metre indoor lap pool on the lower levels serves the school's competitive swimming programme.
KLCC International School places particular emphasis on technology and innovation. A one-to-one MacBook programme operates from Year 4, and the school's Innovation Hub supports coding, app development, 3D design, and competitive robotics. The school has won multiple awards at the FIRST LEGO League Asia-Pacific championships and regularly sends delegations to international technology and innovation fairs.
The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and holds full authorisation as an IB World School. University destinations are broad and impressive, with graduates accepted to institutions including Imperial College London, University of Edinburgh, University of Toronto, NUS, University of Sydney, NYU, and several UC campuses. A team of three university counsellors supports students from Year 10 through all major international application systems. Annual tuition fees range from MYR 62,000 to MYR 108,000 depending on year group.
