What are the app permissions?

When you install SchoolVita™ on your phone, you will see contextual dialogs asking you to approve certain permissions that the app requests. Allowing these permissions will ensure you have the best experience possible with SchoolVita™

Which countries is SchoolVita™ available in?

SchoolVita™ is currently available only in India.

Is there a code of conduct?

The code of conduct on SchoolVita™ refers to the set of privacy policy, terms & conditions and other guidelines that schools, parents and guardians are bound to follow.

Receiving a network error

If you are receiving a "network error" message, try the following steps:

Try connecting with the Wi-Fi off 

Try connecting with the Wi-Fi on

Try to uninstall the app and reinstall the app

HOW TO USE SCHOOLVITA™ APP?

How do I add my child?

The SchoolVita™ app is easy & intuitive to use. After successfully registering on the SchoolVita™ app, users will be prompted to follow a simple 2-step process that adds their child to the app.

Users can also select the 'Add my child' option from the menu or can select 'Add my child' button at the bottom screen of the app.

How do I add an event to term & exam calendar?

Please select the 'Term & exam calendar' option from the menu. Users can select the calendar category they wish to see viz. term calendar, exam calendar, events & holidays, personal calendar. The '+' (plus) button on the bottom right side of the screen allows the user to add an activity they wish to.

Please Note: For schools onboard SchoolVita™ , all activities under term calendar, exam calendar and events & holidays will be added by the school

How do I edit/ delete a term & exam calendar?

User just need to click on the activity they wish to edit/ delete.

Please Note: For schools onboard SchoolVita™ , users aren't allowed to edit/ delete activities under term calendar, exam calendar and events & holidays. However users can edit/ delete activities from their personal calendar.

How do I add class timetable?

Please select the 'class timetable' option from the menu. The '+' (plus) button on the bottom right side of the screen allows the user to add an activity they wish to.

Please Note: For schools onboard SchoolVita™ , the class timetable will be added by the school.

How do I edit/ delete a term & exam calendar?

User just need to click on the '+' (plus) sign in-order to edit/ delete the daily timetable.

How do I add the report card?

Please select the 'reports & performance' option from the menu. Users can click on the 'add report card' to add a report card.

Please Note: For schools onboard SchoolVita™ , the report card will be added by the school.

How do I edit/ delete a report card?

We will be answering this question shortly.

My child's term & exam calendar, class timetable, reports & performances doesn't have any details This happens when your child's school is currently not onboard SchoolVita™ app. If you wish SchoolVita™ to have your child's school onboard SchoolVita™ app, please send us an email on info@schoolvita.com

How do I add my child's achievement?

Please select 'my child's achievement' option from the menu. Users can click the '+' (plus) button on the bottom right side of the screen to add an achievement. Users can store a maximum of only 5 achievements. On adding the 6th achievement, the event added first is deleted automatically.

MY ACCOUNT ON SCHOOLVITA™ 

Who can register on SchoolVita™ app?

Any parent/ guardian who wishes to engage with her child's school 24x7 can register on SchoolVita™ app. It is a free to use app for parents/ guardians.

Can more than one person register on SchoolVita™ app?

Only one person can register on one mobile device.

How do I update my account information?

Users can select 'edit profile' option from the menu to update their account information

I'd like to delete my account

If you are experiencing an account, payment or device issue, please let us know so we can help resolve it for you. Once an account is deleted, we will be unable to look into issues or make adjustments. In case you still wish to delete your account, please send us an email on info@schoolvita.com.

My account is suspended

If your account requires additional verification, it may be suspended. As a result, you will be unable to sign into your account. If your account is suspended, please let us know by sending an email to info@schoolvita.com

I think my email or phone number is in use

If you are trying to register for a new SchoolVita™ account and finding that your email address or mobile number is already registered, it's possible that another account incorrectly has your information associated with it.
In order to avoid incorrect usage of your mobile number, SchoolVita™ verifies the mobile number by sending an OTP at the time of registration. For anything else, please send an email on info@schoolvita.com

I can't change my email or mobile number

If you are trying to change your email or mobile number and are unable to do so, please send an email on info@schoolvita.com

I am not receiving any notifications

To receive notifications, you must be registered on SchoolVita™ app and must have added a child to your account. In case you are still not receiving any notifications, please send us an email to info@schoolvita.com

What happens if I lose my cell phone?

The SchoolVita™ app stores all data on its secure cloud server and hence all data related to your child remains safe & doesn't get lost. In case you lose your phone, all you need to do is install the SchoolVita™ app on your new mobile phone & registered phone number. You will be welcomed back to the app with all your information.

MANAGING CHILD & THEIR INFO ON SCHOOLVITA™

How many children can be added in a single account?

Users can add any number of children irrespective of the child's standard, school, education board & state.

How do I share child with others?

A user needs to download the SchoolVita™ app to be able to share a child with her spouse or relative. The new user needs to add her child's information and just follow the easy step-by-step process prompted by the app.

How do I switch between children?

Switch child allows users who have added more than 1 child added in their SchoolVita™ app to select the child with whose school they wish to engage with. Users can select option 'switch child' from the app menu. The users can also switch child by clicking 'switch child' button at the bottom of the screen.

What do I do if my child shifts to another school?

We will be answering this question shortly.

My child's school is not in the list

If your child's school is not in our central database, you can add your child's school name by completing 'add child' process. For sharing any further information on your child's school, please send us an email to info@schoolvita.com

I can't find the education board my child studies in

We have tried our best to cover all Indian education boards currently certified by the Government of India. However, in case we have missed out on the education board your child studies in, please send us an email on info@schoolvita.com

USING CHILD LOCATOR ON SCHOOLVITA™

Is child locator facility optional?

Yes, the child locator facility is optional.

Is this facility free of cost?

For this facility, users have to purchase the GPS device from the SchoolVita™ app. The device comes pre-loaded with a configured & valid SIM card along with mobile internet pack & SMS pack. The GPS device uses this SIM card to communicate with its configured mobile device through the internet and SMS facility

How does child locator facility work?

The facility works when the child wears the device around her neck and switched it on. The device relays child's location information to the SchoolVita™ app installed on the child's parent's mobile device

Can I use one GPS device for more than one child?

No. The same GPS device can't be used for multiple children. It can only track one child at a time as the child needs to wear the device or carry the device along with her.

How do I buy a GPS device? 

Users can click 'Subscribe to Child Locator' on the app menu and follow the step-by-step process to buy the GPS device

Do I need to buy a SIM card with an internet & SMS pack?

Your GPS device comes pre-configured with machine-2-machine communication SIM along with the a pre-loaded internet & SMS pack. Users pay a nominal annual subscription for this facility.

How do I configure the GPS device?

The GPS device can be configured on the SchoolVita™ app in 3 easy steps. Please click on 'Configure GPS device' on the app menu and follow the step-by-step process to configure the GPS device. For any issues in the configuration, please send an email to info@schoolvita.com"

Do I have to charge the GPS device?

Yes. The GPS devices is shipped along with its charger. The user needs to charge the GPS device just like a mobile phone is charged.

My GPS device is lost

If case you lose your GPS device, please send us an email to info@schoolvita.com. The pre-loaded SIM card comes with added layer of security by our telecom partner. The security layer makes it impossible for the SIM card to be used for any other purpose, be it for calling, using internet based service or sending any SMS/ MMS on any other device other than your GPS device.

Saving & naming an address

You can save & name up to 5 locations most frequented by your child. This enables the SchoolVita™ app to give a name to the location rather than display the full address. To find, save & name any address, please click on 'add address' button on the bottom of the 'where's my child screen' and follow the step-by-step. How many addresses can be stored in the app?

A user can store up-to 5 addresses on the SchoolVita™ app

FEE PAYMENTS ON SCHOOLVITA™

What payments can I make from the SchoolVita™ app?

Users can make all payments enabled by their child's school. These payments can be usually classified, but not restricted to, the following payments:

Tution fee

Term fee

Exam fee

Bus fee

Mess fee

Boarding & lodging fee

Other fee

What are the modes of payments available?

SchoolVita™ app accepts all electronic modes of payments, except wallet payments. These payments are as follows:

International & National Credit Cards

International & National Debit Cards

Net Banking (RTGS/ NEFT)

Is there any charge for paying the fee through SchoolVita™ app?

There's a convenience charge that SchoolVita™ levies for all fee payments through the app. The convenience charge is charged to the user.

I can't find any fee details for my child's school

This happens when your child's school is currently not onboard SchoolVita™ app. If you wish SchoolVita™ to have your child's school onboard SchoolVita™ app, please send us an email on info@schoolvita.com

OFFERS & PROMOTIONS ON SCHOOLVITA™

Are my offers & promotions customised to my account?

The SchoolVita™ app contextualises the offers based on the user's city. All offers & promotions that a user sees in her app are customised as per the city information mentioned in her account.

I can't find an offer I saw some time back

Offers & promotions on the SchoolVita™ app are time based and are valid only for a limited duration. In case you are unable to find an offer, it is highly likely that the offer/ promotion has been removed on basis of time validity.
